About

Stryve was born from my passion for cooking, health and making nutritious eating accessible.

Something is going wrong with the way we eat. Not in a vague, nutritionist-on-Instagram way. In a measurable, costly, increasingly urgent way. The NHS is under pressure from preventable illness. The UK’s population is ageing faster than it’s growing. And the food system we rely on is under increasing strain from a changing climate.

The answer isn’t to eat perfectly or follow the latest trend. It’s to eat more plants, more variety, more real food. The evidence has been pointing that way for years. Most of us just haven’t been given a good enough reason — or a good enough guide.

That’s what Stryve is for.

I’m Rob. I’ve been cooking and thinking seriously about nutrition for over a decade, but my perspective shifted in 2017 when my dad passed away from a terminal illness.

I spent the years that followed reading everything I could find about food, health, and longevity — trying to understand what we actually know, and what we can do about it.

What I found was a lot of noise and not much clarity. But cut through it, and the picture is consistent: a diet built around whole foods, plenty of plants, real variety, and less processed everything is one of the most powerful things you can do for your long-term health.

Stryve exists to make that easier. Every recipe has a carbon rating and a plant diversity count, built around whole food that actually tastes good. Meat, fish, and plenty of plants — it’s about balance, not restriction.

Whether you eat meat, fish, or mostly plants, you’re welcome here. The goal isn’t perfection. It’s progress.
